Rainy Day.

Hi everyone,
I'm still having problems with my scanner, resulting in the lack of A&G posts. I've totaled everything up, and my box does not yield the highest score. I'll still try to get all the packs up as soon as I can though.

Meanwhile, I'll be going to tonight's Red Sox-Mariners game. It's supposed to rain most of the evening. That doesn't bother me, I just hope there aren't any long rain delays. Tomorrow, I'll put up some pictures from the game.

It's been a really busy month for me between work and getting ready for college. (September 2) Also, I'm in the process of getting my license, which I need for school. The RMV requires me to wait 2.5 weeks between my last lesson and my road test. I think that's pretty unnecessary because instead of having my licence already I have to wait until September 4th. Oh well.

P.S. Johnny Damon back to the Red Sox? I don't think so. I just saw the waiver claim on Boston.com. I highly doubt that it's going to happen, and honestly, I don't know how I would feel if he did, indeed, return to the Sox.

  1. Glad to see that they're getting the game in tonight. At work today, we were trying to figure out if they'd be playing the double header on Tuesday or Wednesday. There's nothing worse than getting stuck in Fenway during a rain delay. They keep you there paying too much for food and drinks for the game to resume. It's just about the only time that I don't love being in the park.

I'm thinking that the Damon claim is mostly to block both the Rays and the Yankees from acquiring Damon. He can block a trade and says that he doesn't want to return to Boston to the Sox won't get him unless the Tigers give him away. I'm not a fan of either Damon or Manny returning if available through a waiver claim.

  2. Yeah, I agree. We have about an hour drive to the Park as well, so if the game was cancelled we most likely wouldn't have gone to the make up.

The Johnny Damon situation was interesting. I think it was right of him to decline to come to Boston. He's happy in Detroit and who knows how the fans would treat him upon his return. Manny would never happen (at least I hope not!). Let some other team deal with him.
